King Hall Faithful Return for 2013 Alumni Reunions
UC Davis School of Law alumni from eight classes returned to King Hall for the 2013 Milestone Reunions on October 27. More than 200 alumni, family members, friends, and faculty came together to reminisce, enjoy lunch, tour the renovated and expanded King Hall building, and listen to remarks from Dean Kevin R. Johnson, Alumni Board President Gage Dungy '03, and Jeff Osofsky '08.

Living the Dream: Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Fellow Jihan Kahssay '12
As the UC Davis School of Law Immigration Law Clinic's first Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Fellow, Jihan Kahssay '12 is doing inspiring work, but it's her clients who are truly inspirational, the recent King Hall graduate said.

Yale Professor Akhil Amar Delivers Central Valley Foundation Lecture on the First Amendment
Akhil Amar, Sterling Professor of Law and Political Science at Yale University, delivered the 2013 Central Valley Foundation/James B. McClatchy Lecture on the First Amendment in the Kalmanovitz Appellate Courtroom on October 16. Speaking to a full house that included numerous King Hall faculty and Central Valley Foundation co-founder Susan McClatchy, Amar spoke on "The Firstness of the First Amendment."

King Hall Ranked in Top 10 for 'Best Environment for Minority Students'
UC Davis School of Law ranks sixth in the nation in the category of "Best Environment for Minority Students" in a new Princeton Review survey. The ranking is based upon data gleaned from the survey responses of 18,500 students at top American law schools.

King Hall Young Alumni Association Holds Successful Regional Launches
Following up on highly successful events in Orange County and Los Angeles, the King Hall Young Alumni Association held a well-attended regional launch party in San Francisco on October 23 and is set to host a Sacramento regional launch event on November 7. Founded earlier this year by a volunteer committee of alumni in Southern California, the group's core purpose is to bolster professional networks among recent King Hall graduates by hosting regular events for young alumni.
