Dr. Clarence B. Jones, Attorney and Speechwriter for Dr. King, Speaks at 'Remembering Our Roots' Event Dr. Clarence B. Jones, who served as counsel and speechwriter for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and helped compose the historic "I Have a Dream" speech, spoke at UC Davis on February 4 as part of a celebration of King's legacy and the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. The event, "Remembering Our Roots: Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at King Hall," included remarks from Dean Kevin R. Johnson, Professor Cruz Reynoso, and Fabiola Larios '13.

Bodenheimer Lecture to Feature Professor Susan Frelich Appleton The 2013 Brigitte M. Bodenheimer Lecture on Family Law will feature Washington University School of Law Professor and nationally renowned family law scholar Susan Frelich Appleton delivering a lecture entitled "Leaving Home? Domicile, Family, and Gender." The event, which is approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California, begins at 4 pm on March 11 in the Kalmanovitz Appellate Courtroom. Full story |
King Hall Fundraising on Record Pace During fiscal year 2011-12, the King Hall community contributed $4.3 million in private support for UC Davis School of Law, more than double the total of any previous year.
