Introducing our new Blog: CMOs InTravel

"The Forum for Travel Marketing Specialists"

We have been encouraged by the feedback that we have received on the way that we are filtering the vast amounts of Travel Marketing News into a digestible form.  Some have, however, asked us to provide a more immediate service by highlighting important and interesting news as we see it in a format that creates greater interaction.  We have therefore created our first Blog, CMOs InTravel.

This is linked to our Twitter and Facebook accounts so readers can choose which medium they wish to follow us on.

We have also created an invitation only LinkedIn Group with the same title where we will approach leaders in Travel Marketing to join, share ideas, issues, solutions and network.

Secure communications on the move Part II
by Duncan Alexander

In our last Travel Marketing Digest we highlighted a new smart phone application that enables secure communications.  Since then the bad news about inter-government and business to business cyber crime have continued to dominate the headlines.

If you are in any doubt about the seriousness of the issue listen to the recent BBC radio series:

SeeCrypt SeeCrypt is a downloadable application that costs as little as $3 a month and allows users to make encrypted voice and text messages using military strength encryption.  The application is provided by Porton Group, a privately held venture capital firm specialising in commercialisation of military technologies.  The timing of their roll-out could not be better.  The application currently runs on Apple, Android and Blackberry 10.  It enables Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls for free with the added benefit of the best in cryptology, key management and information security.  Two users can make unlimited calls and messaging from anywhere in the world at no additional cost.

ENJOY THE APPLICATION FOR FREE FOR SIX MONTHS WITH THE TRAVEL MARKETING STORE REFERRAL CODE:

1.  Download Seecrypt from the Apple/Google store (depending on your device).
