May 2014

Dear Fellow Workers in Christ's Kingdom:

We ask for your prayers as representatives from churches around the world meet for the CELC triennial convention in Lima, Peru, at the end of this month. This is the first time for our mission church, the Peruvian Evangelical Confessional Church, to host the conference (May 30-June 2, 2014). Since its formation in 1993, the Confessional Evangelical Lutheran Conference--now the third largest worldwide Lutheran fellowship--consists of 24 church bodies and comprises a membership of about 450,000. It is wonderful to know that we have like-minded confessional Lutherans around our globe who are joined together in our commitment to the doctrinal truths of Holy Scripture and also share the zeal to bring the message of our crucified and risen Savior to fellow sinners of all nations. May God grant the upcoming convention in Lima to be truly edifying as bonds of fellowship are strengthened.

Blessings in our risen Savior,

John A. Moldstad
