Happy New Year and welcome to our first newsletter for 2015. Kanomax is starting the year off with the official launch of our new TABmaster 6715. We'll be showing this new advanced version of our popular Capture Hood at the AHR show in Chicago. If you're in the HVAC industry and will be at the show remember to schedule a few minutes to stop by our booth and see the new 6715 for yourself.

Model 6715 is in Stock Now!
The new advanced version of the TABmaster is now available! The 6715 is great for HERS rating applications; testing adjusting and balancing; in-duct measurements; filter testing; air volumetric flow measurements through registers, diffusers and grilles; or direct readout at supply and return airflow.
Download our free "TABviewer" App at Google Play and the 6715 can communicate with any Bluetooth android device. When used in conjunction with the articulating, wheeled stand this is a real time-saver as you can measure at each ceiling duct and view the data on your tablet or smartphone. The app also lets you email results directly to your client via gmail with just the touch a button. The color display doubles as a removable micromanometer and can be used with several optional accessories: pitot tubes for in-duct measurements, the Velocity Grid for taking average face velocity readings, or differential pressure tubes for measuring room pressure or checking filters. This advanced version of the TABmaster is a great investment for any serious HERS rater, HVAC contractor or facility manager.

Real-time Measurement of Viable Particles in the Cleanroom
|
New Technology Offers Faster Way to Detect Viables
Controlling and monitoring particles is important for every type of cleanroom, be it semiconductor, pharmaceutical, food and beverage manufacturing, or biotech. This is accomplished through the use of technology such as filtration and proper pressurization, as well as through the use of operating procedures that reduce the risk of particulates being introduced to the clean environment, but what happens when these procedures or technology fail or prove insufficient? Investigating and correcting the problem can prove costly and result in ruined product and lengthy down times, especially when viable particles (i.e. microbes) are involved. Traditional investigation methods to find and identify microbes are time-consuming and can result in delayed detection which allows the microbes time to grow and spread. There are a number of emerging technologies that can detect microbes as part of the in-line process. This allows for early detection and better response times when a breach occurs which can result in less downtime and more effective targeted investigations. Check out the full article on our webpage that looks at some of these exciting new technologies in more detail.

Kanomax Anemometer Calibration Special
|
Free Upgrade for Owners of Climomaster and Anemomaster Professional/Standard
To im prove on the already impressive accuracy of our handheld thermal anemometer, we've added a built-in barometric pressure sensor that will add to their reliability in specialized environments. This new sensor will automatically compensate for pressure variances at the measuring site and display accurate velocity readings based on atmospheric pressure levels. This feature eliminates the need for manual calculations to correct for density due to atmospheric pressure (corrections may still be necessary for in-duct pressure).
If you bought a model 6501, 6036 or 6035 after May 2014 your unit already incorporates this feature. If you purchased one of these units before May 2014 you can still benefit from this feature. When you send your anemometer in for calibration we'll retrofit it with the barometric pressure sensor at no additional cost, contact our service department for details at service@kanomax-usa.com.
