Our New Handheld Gas Monitor offers Economy and Flexibility
The new Gasmaster from Kanomax is a versatile, affordable tool capable of measuring many different gases in several ranges making it suitable for many types of applications.
Features include: Over 20 interchangeable sensor heads to measure various gases in several ranges. These sensors are easy to swap in the field and do not require recalibration of the main unit. Sensor types include: Ozone, VOC, Carbon dioxide, Formaldehyde, multi-gas IAQ sensor that detect 5 different parameters simultaneously and many others. A full list of the available sensors can be viewed on our website.
There are two versions of the main unit (both are fully compatible with all the sensor heads). Model 2710 is an entry-level version with a very low price point suitable for spot-checking and simple applications. The fully-featured model 2750 offers advanced features for more in-depth applications such as: built-in datalogging, USB PC connectivity with the included software package, the ability to perform span and zero calibrations in the field, on-board alarms and analog output. The interchangeable sensors make both versions cost-effective solutions for new and advanced users.

Application Story: USP 797

Let Kanomax Help You Meet USP 797 Regulations
USP chapter 797 is an enforceable regulation from the United States Pharmacopeia that addresses safety concerns regarding Compounded Sterile Preparations (or CSP for short). USP 797 came about due to several incidents of contamination that were introduced during the compounding process. This contamination caused several fatalities prompting the need for an enforceable regulation to govern the compounding of sterile preparations. While it is not federally regulated, nearly all states do have laws that refer to USP 797 either directly or indirectly, and even in the few states where there is no regulation a hospital or pharmacy may still want to follow USP 797 as a best practice to maximize patient safety and minimize liability. You can download a free application note from Kanomax that explains how you can use our particle counters and other products to help your business comply with the regulation. Measure Oil Mist with the Unique Model 3521 Piezobalance Dust Monitor
The piezobalance dust monitor from Kanomax operates by electrically charging the particulates it takes in. The charged particulates are then deposited on a piezocrystal. By measuring the change in frequency of the crystal the monitor is able to determine the mass concentration of the particulates. Since the actual mass concentration is measured there is no need for a K-factor with this type of monitor.
The piezobalance monitor can also measure some particulates, such as oil mist, that cannot be measured with a light-scattering monitor. The drawback to this type of monitor is that the crystal must be cleaned every hour which makes it unsuitable for long-term measurements. It's a good choice for applications such as milling, honing or boring operations. The Kanomax model 3521 is designed to be simple to operate and clean. It requires no special training to use and comes with an RS232 interface for downloading data to a PC. The unit itself can store up to 500 measurements. Links Model 3521Guide to Dust Monitors
