In an effort to make our products more user-friendly and add value to the Kanomax brand we're going to be officially rolling out our new product support site soon.  Most of our instruments will come with a QR code sticker on them that users can scan with their smartphones to jump right to our new support site.

From this site you can download a manual, check a specification sheet, request help from Kanomax via email or phone or view helpful guides and videos about our products, all from the convenience of your smartphone!  The site is still in development and may undergo some changes before you see the stickers on our products, but you can scan the QR code shown here to preview the site.
Greetings!

This month the focus of our newsletter is going to be a couple of our new high-end research instruments.  We'll be showing these units at the PITTCON show in Philadelphia, PA in March and would like to provide some information for those of our customers that may be interested.  if you'd like to learn more about them we encourage you to stop by and visit us at PITTCON.
Product Feature: InfiTOF - Portable TOF Mass Spectrometer
Portable High Resolution Mass Spectrometry Even at Lower Frequencies

MSIInfiTOF is a high performance, small footprint time of flight mass spectrometer.  By incorporating proprietary multi-turn technology it is possible to create an instrument that is orders of magnitude smaller than the competition's mass spectrometers without sacrificing resolution.  There are other multi-turn TOF-MS instruments available, but others currently on the market typically have a considerable trade-off between sensitivity and resolution.  The infiTOF's patented multi-turn optics allow for more precise focusing resulting in an ion loss of only 1-2% per cycle.

infiTOF  This combination of advanced technology permits the infiTOF instrumentresolution potentials greater than 30,000, a large 10bit dynamic range with a high speed sampling rate of 2GS/s, yet the unit remains small enough that it can be easily transported for field use. This unprecedented capability allows for samples to be analyzed directly at the collection site reducing the chance of sample degradation or contamination that can occur when transporting collected samples to a lab for analysis. These precision types of analysis previously only available in large laboratory instrumentation are now possible in the field thanks to the cutting edge technology available in the infiTOF mass spectrometer.

InfiTOF excels at environmental clean-up response: the portability of infiTOF allows for unprecedented response time for the collection and analysis of samples.  A mobile response unit equipped with an infiTOF can sample directly in the field, with a high resolution even at lower frequencies.

Other applications include traditional forensic investigations, as well as food and medical analysis.

Product Feature: Portable Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer
Personal Nanoparticle Exposure Possible with PAMS

PAMS

Kanomax is pleased to Introduce

PAMS, a stand-alone, battery-operated Portable Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer with small size, light weight and affordable price for personal exposure measurement.

PAMS is an Electrical mobility size spectrometer designed for portable, mobile, or handheld aerosol sampling applications. The instrument provides number-weighted diameter distribution of aerosols over the entire submicrometer range in one scan. By using a non-radioactive bipolar aerosol charger it allows easy access to sampling sites with tight safety regulations.

A bipolar charger significantly reduces measurement uncertainly of larger particles in the submicrometer range. It can be used in two modes: single diameter count mode: to get a total count within a narrow size range or size distribution mode: to get an automated size distribution measurement over desired size range or size resolution.

PAMS is a stand-alone, battery-operated instrument; no external computer is needed. The entire instrument only weighs 9.9 lbs. in a small 9.1" x 9.1" x 5.9" outer casing. Applications include: personal nanoparticle and aerosol exposure measurement, workplace protection factor measurement of respirators, atmospheric process studies, air pollution and air quality measurements, combustion and engine exhaust emission measurements, filtration studies, inhalation toxicology and indoor air quality studies.
