APPLICATION FEATURE: INDUSTRIAL DRYING AND FORMING PROCESSES
Industrial drying and heating processes are used in many industries such as food, pharmaceutical, film and plastic production, etc. Keeping a steady temperature is important, but keeping the airflow steady and even is equally important to many of these processes.
 Kanomax offers several solutions to monitor and troubleshoot these processes. Our high temperature anemometer (model 6162) can measure air velocity of up to 9840 fpm and temperatures up to 932°F. With probes and cables of various lengths the instrument is highly adaptable to meet many application needs.
 The multi-channel series (models 1550, 1560 and 1570) can be used to simultaneously measure multiple points across a flow so areas of turbulence or sluggish air can be pinpointed and corrective actions can be taken. This is of particular importance when drying films and other fine materials where a slight difference in airflow can negatively impact the quality of the product.
 Airflow transducers (models 6332 & 6332D) can easily be integrated with existing equipment such as fan controllers and thermostats to monitor and automate processes increasing efficiency and quality. FILTER CHECKING WITH HANDHELD PARTICLE COUNTERS AND ANEMOMETERS
Kanomax offers several products that are both helpful to filter manufacturer's to ensure quality and performance, as well as being helpful to professionals such as IAQ consultants and HVAC contractors.
 Handheld particle counters, such as the 3887 and 3886 can be used in the field to confirm that a filter is doing an adequate job containing particulates. this is especially important for IAQ applications where an inefficient filter may be releasing contaminates back into the air. These tools can also be used by filter manufacturers to confirm the filters are performing to specification.  Anemometers can be use to measure the airflow before and after the filter to check that the fans and HVAC system are performing as intended. Many Kanomax anemometers can also be ordered with an option pressure sensor so that differential pressure on both sides of the filter can be measured.
