Develop Your Workforce with Government Grants
According to a recent report from CME, one in five manufacturing workers in the Hamilton area are over the age of 55, meaning they will likely retire in the next 10 years. Whether or not you are a manufacturer, it is time to start to consider succession planning. This often includes hiring younger employees and training for new and existing employees to ensure that business performance and output do not suffer from the loss of experienced workers.
Hiring Grants Training Grants Training grants are another financial resource available to most Canadian businesses that invest in developing their workforce. For example, the Canada-Ontario Job Grant covers up to 66% of third party training costs. This could involve training one employee or your business' entire workforce, as long as there are meaningful impacts such as promotions, new job titles, layoff avoidance, or integrating this training into a new hire's orientation plan.
