A Few Good Men Disagree About Big Data

There was a little dust-up on Twitter the other day about, what else, Big Data. It seems that Stephen Few of Perceptual Edge ruffled some feathers with his latest broadside, "Is Big Data a Big Ruse?" Few argues that Big Data is nothing more than a marketing ploy. This provoked a response on Twitter from @jameskobielus (James Kobielus of IBM) who declared the piece, "profoundly shallow, cynical and uniformed."
