Surrounded by a group of Jewish young adults on the top of Mount Bental in the Golan Heights I was excited to hear they were all from Los Angeles! Being a California native myself, it was fun to see that they also knew where the High Desert was where I was originally from. I knew from my plane trip over that many college age students were coming to tour Israel to learn of their Jewish roots. When I inquired, that is exactly why they were here.

I connected immediately with them, telling of my love and appreciation of their age group! "I call you Jehus," I told them. "It was Jehu that finished the job that Elijah, the generation before, started! You represent the generation that my generation is passing the baton to."

With that, a spunky gal wearing a red hat, leaned across the table and offered me her hand! "I'll take it!" she proudly said. I grabbed her hand, then looking around the table asked the rest, "Will you take the baton too?" They all said "Yes!" with their eyes wide as in receiving a special gift!

I began to bless them, looking them in the eyes affirming their lives and hugging them. Whoaaa! Holy Spirit really liked that as He joined this agreement immediately!

We had with us our Seven fold Spirit of the Lord banner we'd made and worshiped on the ridge with; so I began to wrap them with it and pray protection over their lives. What a moment! God was confirming the joining of these generations and that His Spirit was covering this union!

Yesterday, when we were in Jericho God arranged for us to connect with close to a hundred High School Senior girls from Gaza! I threw kisses to them and they giggled as they sent them back! They were Arabs that were hungry for the love of God just like these Jehus we met today! Isn't God amazing? He's after the hearts that will be open to Him, beyond political agendas and prejudices. He needs us to be willing to get outside our boxes and pass the baton! Pray for the spiritual fathers and mothers to rise up...and be willing to be one as well! This generation needs our love and words of affirmation.

The apostle Paul mentored a "Jehu" also named Timothy. We read his letter to him in 1Timothy 1:2, "To Timothy, a true son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord."

Open your heart today to release grace, mercy and peace to the "Jehus" around you! If you are willing, God will bring them!
