ODOT Initiates Ohio Statewide Transit Needs Study

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Ohio's 61 public transit systems are working to develop a long-term strategy to meet the needs of current and future transit users. The Ohio Statewide Transit Needs Study will examine existing transit services, Ohio's demographics and travel trends to quantify transit changes that may be needed. A project Steering Committee was formed to provide advisory input to the study. Greater Cleveland RTA General Manager and CEO Joe Calabrese is serving on the Steering Committee.

Ohio Cares About Clean Air

American Lung Association representatives took to the streets and asked Ohio residents what clean air means to them. Ohioans were also asked if they would pay one penny more per gallon of gasoline to prevent 2,500 premature deaths every year attributed to air pollution from gasoline and tailpipe emissions. This video highlights some of the responses and shows that people are concerned about clean air in northeast Ohio.
