Take the Commuter Challenge

In summer's oppressive heat, sunshine and automobile hydrocarbon exhaust combine to create a toxic recipe for ground-level ozone.

Taking an alternative commute mode -- public transportation, carpooling, bicycling, or walking -- for work trips and short errands can help reduce harmful pollution and help everyone breathe easier.

NOACA encourages you and your employer to participate in the 2013 Commuter Challenge from July 14-31. Take an alternative commute mode to work during this two-week period or work from home. Register for Commuter Challenge, record your results, and be eligible to win one of several prizes. Challenge your co-workers and friends to participate as well!
