Gallucci Elected Chair of NEOSCC Board
The Northeast Ohio Sustainable Communities Consortium (NEOSCC) board has elected NOACA Executive Director Grace Gallucci chair for 2013. Gallucci, along with other new board officers, will lead NEOSCC as it continues developing the Vibrant NEO 2040 plan. This sustainability plan will address land use, equitable housing, transportation, water & sewer infrastructure and economic development for 12 counties in northeast Ohio. Preparation of this plan is being made possible through a $4.25 million federal Housing and Urban Development grant awarded to northeast Ohio in October 2010. Medina County Commissioner Steve Hambley, a NOACA board member, will serve NEOSCC as treasurer this year.

Governing Board Begins Regional Strategic Plan Visioning

Executive Director Grace Gallucci and President Dr. Valarie J. McCall have identified the development of a regional strategic plan as a priority task for the Governing Board. Board members recently participated in a retreat to begin the visioning process and build a framework for the plan. At the retreat, members identified the assets in each county that make northeast Ohio unique and vibrant. NOACA anticipates that the strategic plan will be complete by the end of this year.

Save the Date - NOACA Open House
NOACA will host a public open house at its office on Thursday, April 11, from 1 - 4 p.m., to gather public input about the draft fiscal years 2014 - 2017 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), statewide TIP and agency Overall Work Program. The TIP identifies highway, bridge, transit, bicycle and pedestrian projects scheduled for implementation within the

next four years using federal funding. Stop by and see what transportation projects are proposed for your city or county. NOACA's fiscal year 2014 Overall Work Program outlines the planning work of the NOACA staff for one year, beginning July 1, 2013 and ending June 30, 2014.

Newsletter Series Highlights NOACA Accomplishments
What has NOACA done in your county? Check out the 2012 NOACA at Work newsletter series and read about the traffic studies, transportation improvements, and air and water quality planning efforts accomplished by NOACA's board, committees and staff over the past year. The newsletters highlight planning and achievement in the City of Cleveland, and Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina counties.

TLCI Studies and Long-Range Plan Projects Added to GIS Portal
NOACA has updated its Transportation System Data Portal with two new data layers: one showing traffic, safety and planning studies completed under NOACA's Transportation for Livable Communities Initiative (TLCI), and another with projects that are contained in the long-range transportation plan. Activate these layers by checking the box next to the layer name in the map legend. When you click the TLCI layer on the data portal, you can see the locations in the region where TLCI studies have been conducted. Click on the map location to see more detail about the study area and a link to the final report.
