Alumni Masthead
February, 2014

This past year has been one of discovery for ECC's alumni relations department.  We found the first graduate that crossed the stage in 1951 and he is coming to to campus for a visit.  We started the process of of finding our alumni graduates and for some of them, this will be the first time they will have heard from us in 30, 40, 50 or perhaps 65 years!

That being said, I'm looking forward to discovering new alumni stories and sharing them with you in future e-newsletters and various college publications. They are so inspirational for our students and a testament to the outstanding faculty here at the college.  Can we share yours?

Elgin Community College is a place to be extraordinarily proud of and one that continues to make a lasting impact on those who are associated with it.  Please forward this email to other alumni you may know so that they have the opportunity to reconnect and tell their stories.

Kind regards,

Diane Stredde

Richard '97

"I was just getting started with my career at the Union Pacific Rail Road when I graduated in 1997.  I will pass 18 years there this week.  In January, 2013, I returned to ECC and its collegiate partner, Columbia College of Missouri.  I have just completed five of the 18 credits I need to complete my BS degree while taking my 200 level classes through ECC."
