Greetings!
Thank you for joining us in prayer and reflection during this season of Lent. We will travel through daily scripture, reflection and prayer. Additional people have been joining us each day. Please feel free to forward these reflections to others. We invite you to explore the other resources for the season found at the bottom of the page as we continue the journey together. Scripture
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

One of the most gut wrenching things for me to hear from another person is that they believe that God is not there for them. God had abandoned them. God does not love them. Often these feelings occur at times of crisis and suffering. The reasons can be complex: guilt, fear, shame, or anger. What can we do? We feel powerless. We cannot simply dismiss the feelings. Quoting scripture may not be enough. We may not have any answers to their questions. What we can do is to be present for those suffering and in crisis, and to be present with our faith and conviction that nothing in all creation is able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Each one of us can be a window through which the love of God can shine anew.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, stay with us; be our companion in the way,
kindle our hearts and awaken hope,
that we may know you through you the enduring love of God.
Grant that we may be window through which
the love of God shines forth into the world. Amen.
