Greetings!
Thank you for joining us in prayer and reflection during the season of Lent. We will travel through daily scripture, reflection and prayer. We invite you to explore the other resources of the season found and the bottom of the page as we begin the journey together.

Remember your word to your servant,
because you have given me hope.
This is my comfort in my trouble: that your promise gives me life.
Psalm 119:49-50 (St. Helena's Psalter)

Darkness is the necessary counter to light, yet in this broken world, it can sometimes feel so strong that we may fear the light will never return. Lent is a time when we can reflect on the darkness in our own lives, and in the world around us, and turn toward the light that is ours by faith - the light of Christ - which no darkness can overcome.
In Lent, we are asked to repent of our sins. Repentance is simply to turn - to turn toward God. It is to open our hearts in hope, as the Psalmist has done, allowing God to be our "comfort in times of trouble," and the "promise that gives [us] life."

Prayer
O God, who comforts us in times of despair,
and sent Christ to redeem our broken world,
be with us now in our Lenten journey,
and guide us by your Holy Spirit,
that we may come to trust always in your love and mercy. Amen.
