Residence Hall Closing & Move Out Information
Underclassmen and Non-Graduating Students
Students are expected to move out within 24 hours after their last final. The residence halls including Chestnut street housing will close at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 18.  Students must sign up in advance for a time to check out with their Resident Assistant when they are ready to depart. At the time of check out, all belongings must be removed from the room and the room must be cleaned. Check out is not complete until students have returned their room key(s) and signed and received a copy of their Room Condition Report or filled out an express check-out form.

If you are unable to check out with their RA or a member of Residence Life, you may complete an Express Check-Out envelope, available at the Office of Residence Life.  Completed envelopes must be delivered to Residence Life or, if after normal hours of operation, to Campus & Public Safety. 

*Students are expected to move-out on May 18 by 10:00 am, those who do not adhere to the policy will be charged a fee each day that they remain on campus.  If there are extenuating circumstances, please contact reslife@washjeff.edu

Graduating Seniors
Graduating seniors are permitted to remain on campus for Senior Week, which begins on Tuesday, May 17 and ends with Commencement on Saturday, May 21. Move-out will begin immediately following Commencement. All residence halls close on May 21 at 4:00 pm. Please consider this information as you make travel arrangements. 
Summer Storage
Storage is available on a first come, first serve basis, to students who live more than 400 miles from campus. For more information, or to complete the Summer Storage Agreement, please visit the Residence Life Spire Forms Page.  Students, who are approved, will be sent a confirmation and asked to sign-up for a time to access storage.

Ecology & Sustainability Summer Internships
The W&J Sustainability Committee is hiring up to two summer campus ecology and sustainability interns. Duties include facility and campus sustainability projects, such as the campus garden and composting, Ecological Research as Education Network (EREN) projects at Abernathy Field Station and administrative support, such as assistance with the Food Recovery Network. Summer Housing
For any student that is planning on attending classes at Washington & Jefferson College over the summer of 2016 or for anyone else that needs housing on campus from June 5th - August 6th, please sign up by completing the 2016 Summer Housing Request Form.  All students will be housed in one of our President's Row buildings.  On the form, you will also be able to sign up for the meal plan that is offered during the summer months.

We have several housing options for you to choose from:
Double Room without A/C: $145 per week
Double Room with A/C: $155 per week
Single Room without A/C: $180 per week
Single Room with A/C: $200 per week

Use Your JayCash and Dining Dollars
A friendly reminder from the Business Office to all students in regards to their Dining Dollar and Jay Cash Balances.
To ALL SENIORS with JAY CASH: Please use ALL your JayCash by the end of the spring 2016 semester.  You may use your Jay Cash at The Bookstore, and at any Dining location on campus including the Barista & Roasted.  If you do not use your Jay Cash, any remaining balances will be forfeited.  Please remember this is for SENIORS only.  Jay Cash rolls over each academic year for all other students!
To ALL STUDENTS with DINING DOLLAR BALANCES: Please use ALL your Dining Dollars before the end of the spring 2016 semester. These do not carry over to the new academic year. These Dining Dollars can be used at any Dining location on campus, including the Barista. 
So get out there and spend your Dining Dollars!  Remember, it's use it or lose it!!!

Fall Semester Meal Plans
It is that time of year again that W&J students have the opportunity to change their meal plans. Click here in order to change your meal plan for next semester.  If you want to stay on the same meal plan as the Fall 2016 semester you do not need to do anything! 

Please remember that you only have until Fall Semester drop/add to change your meal plan which is Friday September 9, 2016. There will be no meal plan changes taken after this date.

WCGSA Fundraiser Concert

Saturday at 7:30 pm in the Ballroom
Support the WCGSA (Washington County Gay Straight Alliance) at their fourth annual fundraiser featuring the Renaissance City Choir of Pittsburgh. The concert will take place on Saturday at 7:30 pm in the Rossin Campus Center Ballroom. The theme this year is Cabaret: Lights! Glamour! Blockbuster Talent!  A reception to meet and mingle with the performers will be held on site following the show. Please note this is a change of venue on campus for the event this year.  Student tickets are $10. Adults are $25.

Senior Week Service Project!

East Washington Clean-Up
Join us on Thursday, May 19, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm to volunteer with the East Washington Borough for a local community and park cleanup. Right on the edge of campus, volunteers will help clean up the parklet area near the East Washington sign and prepare the space for spring and summer. Get out, enjoy the sunshine, and help you community one last time for the school year! To sign up, email volunteer@washjeff.edu. Have Items That You No Longer Need?

Consider Donating to the City Mission!
By recycling at City Mission, you can dispose of your excess items, go green, and bring hope to the homeless, all at the same time! City Mission accept appliances, electronics, ball caps, belts, clothing, shoes, purses and books. Please bag your items, placing similar items together if you are able, and take them to the City Mission thrift store donation center on West Beau Street.
