W&J Food Recovery Network Chapter
Get Involved!
W&J students have organized an officially recognized chapter of the Food Recovery Network! The Food Recovery Network unites students on college campuses to fight food waste and hunger by recovering perishable food that would otherwise go to waste from their campuses and communities and donating it to people in need. W&J is partnering with the City Mission for this effort. Volunteers gather food from campus dining facilities and transport them to the City Mission kitchen. Participants may have an opportunity to attend a free FRN conference at the University of Maryland in April! To get involved here at W&J, email volunteer@washjeff.edu or sustainability@washjeff.edu.
