Winter Storm Expected this Weekend
Hazardous Conditions Possible
As we look forward to the weekend, we are expecting snow in the Washington Area. Our facilities staff is preparing to maintain clear and safe walking paths across campus, but there is always the possibility for icy terrain. Staff will be working through the night on Friday to ensure the safest possible conditions. We ask that all students use caution when traveling by foot on campus and suggest the use of proper foot attire when doing so. Also, please be aware of the road conditions when using the crosswalks. Inclement weather will increase the stopping distance for motor vehicles that are approaching those areas.
In the event that the forecast changes and will affect the conditions on campus, we will send out an update via the W&J Weekly. If there are any issue with the walkway conditions on campus, we encourage you to call the Office of Campus & Public Safety at 724-223-6032.
Shuttle Services Affected
The Saturday Shopping shuttle has been cancelled for this weekend.
Additionally, the Pittsburgh Pipeline may experience delays, have a modified schedule or be cancelled this weekend if conditions become too severe. Updates on the status of Pipeline services will be sent tomorrow via W&J Weekly email services.

Pie Day at U. Grant Miller Library
This Friday!
Come to the Library this Friday and help celebrate the 8th Annual Pie Day! Pie will be available from 11 am to 4 pm (while supplies last), and hungry patrons will have the option to dine in at the Library, or take a slice of pie with them. If you'd like your pie "to go," please bring a clean container and help the Library go green by using fewer resources. All take-out patrons who bring a container will be entered in a drawing for a homemade birthday pie.

Reusable Food Containers Available!
Help reduce the use of disposable products. Last academic year W&J consumed approximately 238,000 styrofoam "to go" containers and paper boats, which were used for only minutes before heading to the landfill. The Sustainability Committee and Parkhurst are proud to offer the opportunity to use reusable "To Go" containers. How it works: Take the container to the cashier at G&Ts or the Commons. You hand the container to the cashier, she/he will then hand you a clean container in which to place your food. You enjoy your delicious food and then rinse out the container. Next time you head to G&Ts or the Commons for food, simply bring your used container with you. Place your order with the cashier, hand him/her your used container, and the cashier will hand you a clean container in which to place your food. To get your first container or if you have any questions or concerns please e-mail jmarch@washjeff.edu.
