This year's Homecoming Court will be announced at the Homecoming Dance this Friday at 9:30 pm in the Tech Center lobby!

Recreation Center Groundbreaking
Today at 5:30 pm
The Office of Development & Alumni Relations would like to invite the W&J community to join us today at 5:30 pm for the James David Ross Family Recreation Center groundbreaking. The recreation center represents the second phase of the Athletic Complex Renovation and Expansion project. We hope that you will join us in supporting our coaches and student athletes!
The groundbreaking will take place on the former tennis courts next to the Henry Memorial Gym.

Vira Heinz Scholarship
Info Session Today at 5:00 pm
The Office of Study Abroad would like to draw your attention to the Vira I. Heinz Scholarship Program for Women in Global Leadership. This award combines a study abroad scholarship with a global leadership development program. Program participants will receive a scholarship of at least $5,000 for study abroad during the summer 2016; in addition, they will participate in a series of leadership development events and community engagement. As one of 16 participating colleges, W&J is able to nominate up to three students for the program each year.
To be eligible, candidates must
- Be US citizens or permanent residents with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
- Have never traveled abroad
- Be a sophomore or junior woman at W&J
To learn more, attend the Info Session today at 5:00pm in 103 Burnett!
Women who fall within one of the four indicators of diversity as designated by the Heinz Endowments (race/ethnicity; GLBTQQ; disability; or financial need) are especially encouraged to apply. If you are a freshman, you are welcome to attend the info session, but you must wait to apply until you are a sophomore.
Applications are due by November 1, 2015. Again, this opportunity is specifically for women.

Today is National Depression Screening Day
Each year in early October we join with communities across the nation in recognition of National Depression Screening Day. A free screening is being sponsored today by Student Counseling Services.
You may take an anonymous online screening through our ULifeline "Self E-valuator" screening program, available at this link: Ulifeline. You can also stop by our Table near George and Tom's to take a screening or gather helpful information for yourself or a friend. Open the door to a brighter tomorrow.

Tech Center Student Parking
Cars Parked in the Wrong Area will be Ticketed
The Tech Center parking lot is divided into a faculty/staff section and a student section. This map shows how the parking lot is divided. Please remember to obey the signage in the lot and park in the correct area or your vehicle will be ticketed by Campus & Public Safety.
As of today, tickets will be upheld for parking in the wrong section.

The Case Against 8
Sunday at 6:00 pm in the Media Room
A viewing of the documentary The Case Against 8 will take place on Sunday, in recognition of National Coming Out Day. The film chronicles the Supreme Court case that overturned Proposition 8, California's ban on same-sex marriage. Pizza and a brief discussion will follow the film screening.

Houston Pumpkinfest Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are needed tonight to help set up chairs and benches in the large pavilion area and this Friday, Saturday and Sunday to help run timers for inflatable bouncers, take tickets, wash pumpkins, help children decorate pumpkins, and various other tasks.
