SENIOR MARKETPLACE 2015

Senior Marketplace is this Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m. in the Ballroom!

 

This event will help you take care of the majority of your graduation business. You will be able to make sure all your graduation requirements are fulfilled and obtain cap & gown information. There will be detailed information on Senior Week, and tickets will be available for purchase. Everyone will get a gift just for attending and be eligible to win FABULOUS prizes! Refreshments will be served. 

  

Be sure to stop for a few minutes at the Senior Marketplace this Wednesday from noon to 6 pm.!

If you are interested in becoming a PAL Tutor for the 2015-2016 academic year, please apply via the button below! The deadline to apply is 5:00 pm on April 17. Continues this Week!

ALD is selling Tom's Shoes until Friday, April 3rd from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm in G&T's and 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the Commons. Come and order a pair of shoes (or more!) for a discounted price of $42. 

 

GRE INFORMATION SESSION

Today from 6:30 - 8:30 pm
All students who may be taking the GRE in the near future are invited to attend a GRE Information session today from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in Dieter-Porter 106. Dr. Klitz will discuss the current format of the GRE test and review some basic strategies and suggestions for preparing for the GRE General Test. At the end of the presentation, Dr. Klitz will also make a few comments about the GRE Psychology Subject Test. This presentation is lengthy (about 90 minutes) and includes a demonstration of the GRE PowerPrep software that you can use for test preparation.

David Klawon '16 will be presenting his research, "Role and Signaling Mechanisms of PKC in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma," which he conducted at the University of Pittsburgh over the summer of 2014. David will speak on Tuesday from 1:15 PM - 1:45 PM in Dieter Porter 100.

EASTER CROSS DISPLAY

Begins this Wednesday

In preparation for the Easter holiday, the Student Christian Association will be placing a chalkboard-painted cross in the Ski Lodge.  The SCA invites students and faculty to contemplate and discuss the meaning of the cross and express their thoughts by writing on the display.  The cross will be displayed for a week in the Ski Lodge beginning on Wednesday, April 1.

Sustainable Sushi Event this Thursday!

CLUB 126: BRAZILIAN SAMBA DANCE LESSON

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORUNITY

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS TODAY

First Presbyterian Church 1793 is accepting applications for the Matthew Brown Fellowship. The Matthew Brown Fellowship is a faith-based project linking students with community service positions in Washington during the up-coming academic year.Students selected as fellows in the inter-faith project will be assigned to volunteer area community service organizations for an average of 5-6 hours a week or 15 hours per month.Fellows volunteer no less than 60 hours per semester and earn a stipend of $500.00 per semester ($1000.00 per year). Students will also receive a $250.00 book bonus at the beginning of each semester for books and supplies.The application deadline is 5 pm, today.  Students can find the application here.

 

APRIL PRODUCE TO PEOPLE - REGISTER TODAY!

The Greater Washington County Food Bank Produce to People food distribution is in need of volunteers on Tuesday, April 5 from 8:00AM - 1:00PM at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Produce to People is the Food Bank's large-scale produce distribution program. Volunteers are needed to assist with anything from passing out the produce, to acting as runners and support. Volunteers can sign up for the full experience or for shorter shifts. Transportation is provided, and a shuttle leaves campus on the hour each hour and returns to campus on the half hour. To register to volunteer, fill out the form here. Please register by Monday, April 6 at 5:00 pm.
