PANFIL BROTHERS PERFORMANCE

The Panfil Brothers perform original, traditional and contemporary bluegrass music. Hailing from the Buffalo area, the Panfil

Brothers are regular performers at Grey Fox and other bluegrass festivals. Mark and Chris bring a wealth of musical experience and versatility to the stage. Expect to hear an amazing variety of instruments, including guitar, dobro, banjo, fiddle, harmonica, mandolin, accordion, bass and bodran. 

 

Doors Open at 7:00pm and the music starts at 8:00 pm in the Pioneer Room of the George Washington Hotel (Main St.). Free with Student ID ($5 cover for all others). Bar service available to those 21+ with valid/legal ID.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSEMBLY MEETING

The first SGA meeting of the semester will be tonight at 7:00 pm in Yost Auditorium (Burnett). We will be announcing the Spring Concert performers and discussing upcoming campus events. Join us to hear about our clubs and upcoming plans. We hope to see you there!

 
BE A PART OF THE 2015 VAGINA MONOLOGUES

Auditions Tonight and Sunday 
Attention ladies! Would you like to be a part of this year's Vagina Monologues production? The Vagina Monologues is a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. All women are welcome to audition for this year's production and no acting experience or memorization is required. Auditions will be held on tonight from 8pm-11pm in the HUB Meeting Room and Sunday from 1pm-6pm in the HUB Fireplace Lounge. If you have any questions please contact diversity@washjeff.edu.
 
PITTSBURGH PIPELINE DELAYS POSSIBLE

This Weekend Due to Road Work

Due to construction on the inbound Fort Pitt tunnel this weekend, the Pittsburgh Pipeline will have to take alternate routes, which in turn may cause delays in pick-up or drop-off service. We ask for your patience and understanding until this route fully reopens.

AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY BOWL

This Friday at 7:00 pm

Come out to Rossin Ballroom on Friday for the African American History Bowl, a team trivia game show, for a chance to win some great prizes! The event begins at 7:00 pm. All are welcome! Presented by the Black Student Union and Diversity Programs and Multicultural Affairs.

 

WASHINGTON SYMPHONY PRESENTS LOVE HURTS

Saturday at Trinity High School

The next concert for the Washington Symphony will be this Saturday. The concert is title "Love Hurts" and will be presented at Trinity High School, beginning at 8:00 pm. In celebration of Valentine's Day, the symphony will present an evening of music that is inspired by love gone wrong.

WHEELING SYMPHONY PRESENTS TIM O'BRIEN

Saturday at the Capitol Theatre in Wheeling, WV

Wheeling native Tim O'Brien will be performing his original bluegrass and country classics this Saturday at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Wheeling starting at 8:00 pm. Tickets are available at the box office beginning at 6:30 pm before the performance and are free with student ID.

 

SAFE ZONE TRAINING: STUDENTS ONLY

Sign-Ups Now Open!

The Office of Diversity Programs & Multicultural Affairs brings students the chance to be Safe Zone certified on Wednesday, February 18th at 8:00 PM in Burnett, Room 015! Safe Zone Trainings are created to develop, enhance, and maintain environments in workplaces, schools, and other social settings to LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer) individuals, as well as straight, cisgender people who care about diversity, equity, and inclusion.  The last day to RSVP for the Training is Tuesday, February 17th. The only way to be Safe Zone Certified is to stay for the entire training.
