A MESSAGE TO ALL SENIORS
From the Office of Academic Affairs

Dear Senior,

Greetings from the Office of Academic Affairs!  I hope you are well.  As you may know, registration for Intersession and Spring courses is just around the corner; seniors register on November 3rd.  The Registrar's Office will be emailing students a complete schedule in the next week or so.

Now is a good time to start preparing for your meeting with your academic advisor. To do so, you should run a Program Evaluation report (degree audit) in Web Advisor. You will want to carefully review this report: Are all the courses you've taken (at W&J and elsewhere) recorded?  How have your courses been "counted"?  Do you have any unsatisfied general education, skills, or major requirements?  What is your progress in fulfilling Intersession, Physical Education, and overall course count requirements?  Under the 32 +2 degree requirement, you must take two Intersession and 32 Semester courses. Additional Intersession and Physical Education courses do not fulfill the (32) semester course requirement/credits hours.  It is imperative that you register for Intersession/Spring courses that fulfill any outstanding requirements.  I encourage you to have a copy of your Program Evaluation with you when you meet with your academic advisor.

It is ultimately your responsibility to make sure you're on track to graduate next spring.  College policy states that you must meet all academic requirements and financial obligations in order to participate in Commencement activities.

If you have concerns about your progress toward degree completion, you should contact your academic advisor immediately.  Finally, it is good practice to save College communication--from the Registrar's Office to your advisor--regarding registration and graduation.  Having such documentation is useful if questions arise later.

Best regards,

John E. Zimmerman, Ph.D.
Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty
