FALL SPORTS PEP RALLY

Tonight at 7:00 pm


 

There will be a pep rally for our fall sports teams on tonight at 7:00 pm on the lawn in front of Henry Gymnasium. All of our fall sports teams and their captains will be introduced. You are encouraged to come for an evening of music, giveaways and a chance to meet your fall sport athletes at W&J who are representing the college on the fields and courts in the red & black uniform! 


 

There will also be gift card giveaways throughout the pep rally, including a $100 gas card at the end of the evening.  The W&J cheerleaders will be distributing raffle tickets and every W&J student in attendance at the pep rally will receive one for a chance to win. 


 

The pep rally is open to all students, faculty and staff. Let's Go Presidents! 

CEPM LECTURE SERIES

Tonight at 7:00 pm


Tonight in Yost Auditorium (Burnett Ctr.), the Center for Energy Policy and Management kicks off their 2014-2015 lecture series with "Is European Energy Policy Looking Forward or Backward?" presented by Kirk W. Junker, Ph.D., J.D who is Professor of Law & Chair of International Master of Environmental for the University of Cologne. The presentation begins at 7:00 pm.

EQUESTRIAN TEAM INFO MEETING

Tonight at 9:30 pm

   
The Equestrian Team will be hosting an informational meeting tonight in the Ski Lodge at 9:30 pm for those students interested in joining the team.

FINANCIAL AID OPEN HOUSE

Friday from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

   
The Office of Financial Aid will be hosting open office hours on Friday, September 5 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm in the Media Room. Payroll will also be available to accept your required paperwork for student employment. Please stop by to see Chris Shaffer or LeeAnn Spencer with any concerns or questions.

CHEMFEST IS BACK!

Friday from 6:00 pm - 8:00pm


 

If you are 21 or older, come join us this Friday (Sept 5), 6-8pm at Swanson Atrium.  Enjoy some food, refreshments, and lively music courtesy of WNJR.  Mingle with the CHM and BCH students and faculty.

 

Tickets are $10 will be sold at the door.  Space is limited, though, so talk to any CHM or BCH junior/senior or email a Chemistry prof to reserve tickets in advance. Must show photo ID at the door.

PAL TUTORING SERVICES RESUME

Sunday from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm


 

PAL Tutoring services will be available Sunday - Thursday from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm on the ground floor of Alex Hall beginning this Sunday. If you have any questions regarding PAL tutoring services, please contact David Zlockie, Director of PAL at dzlockie@washjeff.edu. We look forward to working with you and have a great start to the semester.

Aldi Information Table - 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Aldi (featuring W&J alumni, Marc Lubline & Brandon Studer) will have an information table in the mailroom/snack bar area to speak with students regarding employment & internship opportunities. This information table will be followed with on-campus interviews on October 2 for students pre-selected by Aldi. (Students wishing to be considered must submit resume to Career Services (careerservices@washjeff.edu) by noon on Monday, September 18.  In the subject line, please type Aldi and then your name.)

Mock Trail Trial Team Meeting - 7:00 pm
The W&J Mock Trial Team will have its first meeting on Monday, September 8 at 7:00 pm in Burnett 103.  Students thinking about competing this year will be given a copy of the 2014-2015 case-a wrongful death lawsuit-and a copy of the year's tournament schedule.  Email washjeffmocktrial@jay.washjeff.edu with any questions or concerns.
