Donors Dedicate Bennett Spring Platforms

A dedication and donor appreciation event was held on Saturday, May 4, in conjunction with the  annual Kids Fishing Day at the park. Despite the low temperatures and snow flurries, about 80 people braved the cold to enjoy the ribbon cutting and view the plaques that have been placed at each site to show the donors who participated or who honored loved ones with memorial signage. The project was a joint effort of MCHF and the Missouri Departments of Conservation and Natural Resources. Read More

Matching Funds Needed to Provide Training Opportunities for Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) Volunteers

MCHF has received donations in the amount of $3,750 from the Missouri Conservation Pioneers group and a private donation.  Funds will start an account for MDC volunteer support with one stipulation - MCHF must find matching funds before the monies can be used. Countless hours from volunteers who support programs for MDC such as Nature Centers, ranges, hunter education, and the master naturalist program allow MDC to provide many free programs and opportunities across the state to kids and adults alike. To show support of those volunteers who generously give of their time and talent, an account is being set up to provide further training opportunities to enhance the volunteer program.  You may direct a donation to support this program by stipulating MDC Volunteer Support Fund when you donate either online or by check made payable to MCHF, PO Box 366, Jefferson City, MO 65102

The Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization founded in 1997 to help meet financial needs placed on natural resource conservation and conservation-related outdoor recreation.

The Foundation is separate from the Missouri Department of Conservation but supports that agency's mission of protecting the state's fish, forestry, and wildlife resources for all Missourians. We are governed by a volunteer board comprised of conservation, community, and business leaders. By working with Missouri Department of Conservation staff, who partner with conservation groups statewide, we fund projects that immediately address conservation and outdoor recreation needs. Since it was created in 1997, the Foundation has provided more than $11 million for conservation projects. The Foundation receives funding from several sources, including Conservation Heritage License Plate donations; private donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations; and payments to the Stream Stewardship Trust Fund.

The Foundation offers volunteer opportunities and a variety of conservation giving opportunities. If you would like to speak to a Foundation staff person for more information, call 1-800-227-1488.
