Can't Never Could:
Killing Cancer
A lot has happened since posting the article on our friend and Green Industry brother, Rob Estes, Landscape Architect and Contractor,
www.esteslandscape.com
who is now literally facing the battle of his life.
This past Friday night, Pam and I were honored to be able to attend Grey Matters, the 2nd Annual Fundraiser for Can't Never Could, the amazing foundation that Rob has established to help others who are fighting this dreadful disease.
Coach Vince & Barbara Dooley
It was quite an experience to hear Rob's story first hand, to learn of others who are fighting the same battle, to hear from doctors who are leading the charge, and from spouses of those who have fallen. I don't think any of us could have survived the deadly seriousness of the evening without the humor and wry perspective of two prominent cancer survivors, legendary football coach Vince Dooley and his charming and hilarious wife, Barbara, as they warmed our hearts and brought us
to tears of laughter with tales and travails
of their journey through fifty years under the national microscope of NCAA football, fifty five years of marriage, and cancer x two!

Dealing With The Deadliest Cancer
From 60 Minutes
|
And how ironic it was that on Sunday night,
60 Minutes ran a detailed segment on glioblastoma , the very enemy that Rob is battling now and the deadliest form of cancer on the planet. That's kind of like saying that a particular cobra is the deadliest cobra on earth. I mean, how deadly can deadly be? If you have a few minutes, please click on the video above from 60 Minutes. It is amazing what medical science is doing to win this battle.
Last but not least, I can't tell you how touched
I have been by the responses and generosity
of those of you who have taken this to heart,
and have sent donations to help support this
noble foundation. Your donations and words of encouragement have reaffirmed to me that
I am a part of the finest industry on the planet,
grounded by people whose priorities are in order,
and whose hearts are in the right place.
If you know of anyone suffering from a debilitating health issue, please encourage them to contact
Can't Never Could to apply for support.
In its very brief existence, CNC has assisted over twenty patients from all over the US and from all walks of life, who had nowhere else to turn.
And our offer still stands: If You would like to contribute $10 to this worthy cause, we will credit you with $20 Off a Case of 4" Groundcover!
You can support a wonderful foundation,
be a blessing to so many others,
& pocket Free Plants in the process!
Just send a check made out to
Can't Never Could Inc
and we will make sure it gets to the right place
AND issue your credit for the Free Plants.
