Since we are now in the midst of another World Series clash, I would like to share this incredible true story that unfolded over the course of two World Series between 1992 and 1997.  You wouldn't believe it unless you heard it from the man it happened to, Rich Donnelly.  So I am going to back out at this point and encourage you to watch this video that will prove once again that truth is stranger than fiction and that there are things that happen to us on this earth that we will never understand.   After viewing this, if anyone has a rational explanation for what happened, please contact me and let me know!  One final warning:  you may need a handkerchief to get through this very touching story about a loving father who lost a teenage daughter.

Pup of the Week

Zooey's Adorable Rescue Dogs
Zooey's Adorable Rescue Dogs

Actress and singer Zooey Deschanel recently visited "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and shared the wonderful story of how she adopted her two pups Dot and Zelda. Deschanel explained how, when Dot was being pulled from another shelter to come to Bill Foundation, a dog rescue in Los Angeles, Zelda was discovered shivering and alone in another cage. The "New Girl" star explains that once the two dogs saw each other, "it was like sisters reuniting." Read on for details on this lovely adoption story and be sure to watch the video below! - Global Animal

***************

The celeb instantly fell for a sweet little puppy named Dot, but soon realized that Dot had only recently been reunited with her sister, Zelda. The two had been found shaking in separate cages at a different shelter by volunteers from The Bill Foundation. When they were brought together, the two dogs could not have been happier.

"It was like sisters reuniting," Deschanel said.

"They started licking each other's faces."

The Bill Foundation told Deschanel that they could not separate the two dogs so soon after their recent reunion. So, what did Deschanel do?

Well, what would you have done?

Of course, she brought home both dogs,

and it looks like these two sweet pups have

landed themselves in dog heaven.
