As a busy full-time mom, Lyssa found the imagined escape offered by "Mt. Ollopa Lodge" very appealing. Even though it looks right at home in her moss-draped Florida woods, the Idaho native was inspired by a photo of an actual retreat in Pennsylvania and envisioned an uninterrupted mountain view from the lodge's deck. Her detailed interior includes a handmade railing with natural-branch balusters that was especially challenging to build. And the name? It's a tribute to Lyssa's much-loved Siamese cat Apollo; long gone but fondly remembered.
