Qatar Airways' first B787 was the first ever Dreamliner delivered with both Wi-Fi and GSM services, a milestone for the industry and all players involved: Qatar, Boeing, Thales and OnAir. There were nearly 100 people on the ferry flight from Seattle to Doha. More used the phone network than Wi-Fi: nearly 75 phones used Mobile OnAir and there were over 50 Internet sessions over Internet OnAir. Comments from passengers were very positive, with many tweeting throughout the flight, with highlights including pictures of the meals and the aurora borealis. The connectivity was live throughout the entire 13 hour flight. It shows very clearly that people use connectivity when it is available. You can read more about it here.

We don't just lead the commercial market. We were at the Middle East Business Aviation show in Dubai in December, discussing our first linefit deal for Large Cabin Long Range Business Jet, as well as the expansion of our completion center network. 2012 has been a great year for us.

ONAIR SIGNS UP BOEING EXPERTS

Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) owners can now have OnAir connectivity fitted by BBJ specialist PATS Aircraft Systems, which has joined OnAir's growing network of completion centers.

 

A B737-900ER BBJ, due for delivery in the first half of 2013, will be the first OnAir-equipped aircraft to be delivered by PATS.
