Following an extensive renovation and remodel, the Bat Zone reopens for better-than-ever tours on June 25. In addition to its namesake residents, visitors will observe flying squirrels, skunks, owls, and a two-toed sloth. Week day tours will be available starting in early July. Last chance for BATS: Superheroes of the Night

The Institute's popular Superheroes of the Night exhibition finishes its run on June 19. This 5000-square-foot bat immersion explores the benefits of, and threats to, these often misunderstood creatures. Featuring live specimens of the largest species of bat in the world, hands-on activities including the chance to meet a robot bat, and study a model of a bat skeleton as big as a human, Superheroes of the Night reveals why bats are important to humans and what we can do to help save them.
