November & December 2012

Hello neighbor!

November is off to a windy start with Hurricane Sandy effects still seen in the streets. We hope that you came through the storm alright. Half of my street (Laura's) was without power for 24 hours. I was pleased to experience first-hand some great neighborliness: We were able to put all our food in a friend's fridge and also had a wonderful homemade meal made for our family of five! There's nothing like a crisis, minor though it was, to bring neighbors together.

We have some great events coming up in November and December, with not just one, but two Ladies' Nights Out, Book Club, Thirsty Thursday and a Holiday Party at the Thompson's. We also have a unique service opportunity to ring the bell for The Salvation Army kettle during the holidays. Keep an eye out for the Evites and we hope to see you soon!

All the best,
