Get the party started with a classic:


 Dry Gibson

Ingredients:

2-1/2 oz Gin (Vodka)

1/2 oz  dry Vermouth

Sable & Rosenfeld Vermouth Tipsy Onions

 

Preparation:

Pre-chill glass. Fill martini shaker with ice cubes. Pour in Gin (Vodka) and Vermouth. Shake. Strain into glass and garnish with two Vermouth Tipsy Onions.

 

 
Entice your guests with this
delicious appetizer:


 Onion Roll Up

 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Roquefort cheese

1 cup cream cheese

1 Tbsp. heavy cream

2 jars Sable & Rosenfeld (5oz) Vermouth Tipsy Onions

10oz crushed almonds or pistachios
 

Tipsy Vermouth Onions


 

Preparation:

In a food processor mix cheeses and cream until soft.

Drain and dry onions.

Drop onions in cheese mixture and gently stir to coat.

Roll each coated onion in crushed nuts.

Refrigerate until chilled.

family dinner idea for you:


Tipsy Onion Pot Roast

 

  

Ingredients:

3 to 3½ boneless beef chuck roast

1 jar Sable & Rosenfeld Tipsy Onions (10.9oz) drained, reserving ⅓ cup of onion brine
⅓ cup soy sauce


2 bay leaves

2 to 3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp. thyme

1 tsp. ground ginger

4 carrots, sliced

2 cups sliced fresh button mushrooms

 

Preparation:

Place sliced carrots in slow cooker and top with meat. Spread onions over meat.

Combine reserved onion brine and next 5 ingredients in a bowl. Pour over beef and onions.

Cover and cook on High 5 to 7 hours or on Low 9 to 10 hours.

Arrange mushrooms over beef.

Cover and cook on high 30 minutes.

Discard bay leaves and serve.


 

Makes 6 to 8 servings

Ideal Slow Cooker: 5 quart
