Happy Holidays!

From our families to yours, we'd like to wish you a very happy and safe holiday season.  We'd also like to take the time to thank you again, for your friendship and support of our real estate business.  We are truly grateful to consider you a friend, and wish you a holiday season filled with endless joy.

As you consider buying or selling your home, even during the holidays, please remember we are always here to assist you.  Although it can seem like a hassle to have your home listed now, the buyers out looking at this time of year are extremely ready to get settled. Those looking to buy a home during the holiday season are probably even more determined. They too would rather be shopping or attending holiday parties! So far this year the weather has been extremely cooperative to be out and about.  Let's hope it stays "mild"!

2015 was a very busy year and we're already preparing to move ahead into a similar market. Remember our spring housing market in Minnesota gets rolling by February. We feel fortunate and thankful to be here to assist with all of your real estate needs all year long.

Wishing you a safe and happy holiday season,

Lori  &  Jackie

How To Ditch The Red and Green For Modern Holiday Décor

Still rocking red and green everything and a tinsel-covered tree for Christmas? Might be time for a holiday décor upgrade. You do regular updates to your home's everyday décor, right? Why stick with the same 'ole stuff when it comes to the holiday season.
Need some inspiration to modernize or glamorize your holiday home? Check out these examples.

Christmas in black and white

Who says you need to go all red and green to show your holiday spirit?

"Let a black-and-white palette be the antidote to tinsel and flashing colored lights," said Sunset. "Spray-paint inexpensive nutcrackers white, then place them at attention beneath a paper-loop wreath. If you happen to have dark walls, this look can be especially pleasing."

Sticking with the black-and-white theme, how 'bout upgrading your old Christmas tree blanket this year? This geometric Christmas Tree Blanket, Triangle from Ferm Living, will bring in a little style under your tree.

10 Tips For Creating a Chic Home Office

Who says a home office has to be boring? Not this fashion blogger, who's been turning Instagram upside down with pics of her impossibly chic space.

"When you're a fashion blogger, your good taste is everything, so it's no surprise that Christine Andrew of Hello Fashion and POPSUGAR Select took her time perfecting every detail of her home office," said POPSUGAR. "After months of trial and error, she's just revealed her stunning home office - and it was definitely worth the wait!

Done up in pink and white with flashes of blue and green and feminine touches throughout, this home office breaks a few "traditional" rules for home office design (a bookcase full of shoes? I mean, c'mon!). And that's just why we love it.

You don't need to be a fashion blogger to get a stylish, inviting look in your home office. But you can be inspired by her space (just like we are!) to create your own great home office.

1. Keep it organized
There are some of us who thrive in chaos (ahem), however it has been proven that clutter and chaos in your workspace can create clutter and chaos in your mind. Sufficient storage can help.

The holiday spirit was busy and bright this weekend as customers arrived at our Trees for Toys event with a toy to donate to Toys for Tots and received a free full-size Christmas tree, mini-spruce tree or Victorian wreath, courtesy of their sales associate. 9,583 toys and $3,660 collected for Toys for Tots! Thank you to everyone who participated to make this year's Coldwell Banker Burnet Trees for Toys event a success!
