Use Planned Giving to Leave a Legacy with OHS
Beginning Bead Work Class

The Oklahoma History Center will host a beginning bead working class with Martha Berry, nationally known beadwork artist and Cherokee National Living Treasure, on June 1. The class will run from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and registration is required. The cost for the class is $100 and includes all materials and lunch.

   

Class registration pays for all materials necessary to produce a traditional Cherokee purse. Materials for the students' kits will include: fabric, beads, bee's wax, beading needles, sharps needles, ribbon, thread, plastic bags, embroidery hoop, and patterns. Class size is limited to fifteen participants to allow one-on-one instruction with Berry.

The deadline for registration at the $40 rate is May 29, and the cost will be $50 per person after the deadline or at the door.  Optional ticketed events require additional fees.
