Guests say goodbye to Oklahoma TV and Radio Legend Danny Williams at Sunday Memorial Service held at Oklahoma History Center
Danny Williams, Oklahoma City radio and TV icon, passed away last Monday at the age of 85. A memorial service was held at the Oklahoma History Center which was flooded with family, friends and other well-wishers. Williams, best known as 3-D Danny, first made his way to local TV in 1950. Williams went on to have top rated programs on WKY-TV (now KFOR-TV) and was an enormously popular DJ on WKY radio for more than 20 years. Later, Danny was the morning show DJ on country music KEBC, then was the popular morning DJ on Oldies station KOMA-FM. Williams was one of the original 15 members of the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
