Register Now for MLA Fall Fling
| |
|

The MLA Fall Fling is a great event that combines timely programming and outstanding opportunities to visit with your colleagues from near and far. There are just two short weeks to register and get the best hotel rate.
One of the speakers this year will be Scott Simpson with BlueTarp Financial. Simpson spoke to rave reviews last year, and is back again to discuss "What You Need to Know about Succession Planning." He will explain the different preparations necessary for a third-party sale or a family transfer, and how to evaluate your business now and set a plan for action of things you may be concerned about, from strength of your customer base to cash flow, and accounts receivable. He will show you how to implement best practices around your operation to ensure that you maximize the financial value of your business to make certain you are on strong financial footing. Or, if you are transitioning your company to a family member, he will help you understand how to best preserve your legacy for years to come. This session is ideal for those considering a transition of their business in the future, or for those who want to have a better understanding of what they can do to improve the overall value of their business today.
You'll also be sure to pick up ideas from the others who attend, as we annually attract the best and brightest dealers in our area. It's always great to talk with others about problem solving and issues to get fresh ideas and a new perspective.
The dates are November 5-6, 2015 - in Branson, Missouri. We have arranged a special rate of $142 per night for rooms at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing - and the conference is free of charge to members. Click here for more information and click here for a registration form.

According to the National Fire Protection Association, U.S. municipal fire departments responded to an estimated 1,240,000 fires in 2013, which resulted in more than $11.5 billion in financial loss, injured more than 16,000 people, and killed more than 3,000. In recognition of Fire Prevention Week, October 4-10, 2015, we are encouraging all business owners to create a fire prevention plan that includes inspecting their facilities for major fire hazards.
