Blessing others at Christmas time
|
|
Last month we told you about an opportunity to bless others at Christmas time through "Healing Waters Ministry" and the "Love Project". Many of you responded. We were able to travel and send a lot of clothing and toys to the folks in Whitley City, Kentucky. One of our business friends here in Oakboro donated a large amount of paper towels and toilet paper. All together, "The Love Project" distributed two full tractor trailer loads of goods and 8 other trailers and small truck loads. One which was 50,000 lbs. of food. It was an event that my wife and I will never forget. It was very hard work for three 15 hour days, but well worth it. Between 60-80 volunteers helped make it happen. Over 100 bicycles were given to children during the event. The recipients were very grateful!
Helping others always helps the one who gives. It is a wonderful thing to give.
I encourage each of you to find someone who least expects it and give to them abundantly this year. You will be blessed!
We here at Seven Oaks Doors and Hardware are very thankful for you, our customers and friends, who have blessed us all abundantly all year long with your business. We anticipate continued strong relationships with you in 2016!
Merry Christmas,
I appreciate you!
Ed Shimpock, AHC, VP and General Manager

Oreo cookies are dipped in Vanilla CandiQuik, then decorated to look like miniature, edible, delicious Christmas ornaments! Decorate until your heart's content using an assortment of candies, sprinkles, mints, icing, and more for a unique and incredible holiday treat! Ingredients
- About 20-24 Oreo Cookies
- 1 pkg Vanilla CandiQuik
- 20-24 Miniature Reese's PB Cups
- Assorted candies/sprinkles (miniature M&M's, Reese's Pieces, holiday sprinkles, dragees, frosting, chocolate, etc).
Instructions - Melt the CandiQuik according to package directions, until smooth and melted. Dip each Oreo cookie into the CandiQuik using a fork, allowing excess chocolate to drip off. Place the coated Oreo onto a foil-lined baking sheet.
- Immediately attach a miniature PB Cup on the top of the Oreo for the ornament topper. Then immediately decorate the Oreos with the assorted candies or sprinkles. Consider making striped, polka dot or chevron patterns, or any other pattern or arrangement you'd like!
