Springtime in the Carolinas
|
It is such a joy this time of year to experience the newness and freshness in the air. Most of us even have better attitudes! Being able to get outside, dig in the dirt, plant flowers and trees! Just talking about it makes me feel better!
It brings me joy to share with you that Seven Oaks Doors & Hardware is also blooming. We are enjoying new customers along with many long time loyal customers. Business is very good because of you, our customers and friends, who continuously "choose" to share your business with us. We enjoy the growth! We continue to nurture your needs and strive to fulfill your requirements accurately and on time.
Enjoy this beautiful season and send us some pictures of your gardens. We would love to post them. Make sure you are in the photo also!
I appreciate you!

Recent Project
|
Lee County Jail
Sanford, NC
Before
After
You never know where you are going to find Seven Oaks installers. This was a first for us.
Our installers used grinders to cut out existing bar grates from the holding cells at Lee County Jail. Once the bars were removed we installed 14 Ga Custom hollow metal frames and 16 Ga Steel stiffened HM doors and panels. We also installed 9/16" High Impact Clear Security Glazing. In addition, we hung the doors on full mortise continuous hinges which we welded to the doors and frames. Prison locks and Custom Food pass-throughs were furnished and installed by Seven Oaks.

Springtime M&M Chocolate Chip Blondie Bars Recipe
|
Ingredients
1 stick of unsalted butter at room temperature 1 1/2 cup light brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour 3/4 cup Nestle Tollhouse Spring Chocolate Chips 3/4 cup M&M's Spring Mix
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9×13 baking dish. This recipe makes between 12 and 24 bars, depending on what size you cut them into.
Beat together the brown sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla until they are thoroughly combined. Gradually add in the flour, then your baking powder and salt, beating lightly until combined. Stir in chocolate chips and M&M's - do not beat them into the mixture, as you want them to be whole!
Pour your batter into your greased baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack and then put into the refrigerator for about half an hour.
Tip: I always refrigerate my bars and brownies before serving because it makes it so much easier to cut into bars without them crumbling to bits.
