See the excitement in their eyes!! - Back to School!
|
Of course I am writing this with a grandfather's perspective, but to see young children get excited about going "Back to School" makes me happy. Becky Preslar's daughter, Macy (Becky heads up our Customer Service) actually was tearful last year because she had to leave school for the summer. She is now delighted and full of joy to be going back. Good luck Macy with the books and basketball this year. Many of our employees have children going back to school, so needless to say they have all been busy buying clothes and supplies for them. Among our employees we have approximately 17 school age children and heaven only knows how many grandchildren. We at Seven Oaks Doors and Hardware have experienced an overwhelming amount of work this summer in helping many of you, our customers, get your schools ready for "Back to School". We have furnished and installed "Security Walls" in many schools throughout North and South Carolina, helping to make your schools more safe and secure. Thanks for trusting us to "get it right". See the following picture of a "Security Wall" we recently installed. Drive safely and watch for the children!! I appreciate you! Ed Shimpock, AHC, VP and General Manager P.S. We are now an authorized GSA distributor of Allegion products! We will have more details in next month's newsletter.

Reid Ross Elementary
Cumberland County Schools, Fayetteville, NC
Before
At the main entrance we installed a hollow metal frame with doors and solid panel side-lites to prevent visibility and non staff persons from entering the schools hallways. We removed a glass wall and installed another hollow metal frame & door for visitors to access the schools hallways from the office area after they have been approved by the staff. |

Leadership Stanly
|
Every year a select group of business leaders graduate from a program of challenging day-long information sessions called "Leadership Stanly". This year, Robert Parrish (Operations Manager) and Stephanie Gresham (wife of Scott Gresham, Product Application Specialist) were two members of this year's graduating class. Congratulations to you both!
