Stunning Colors

That is what overwhelms me this time of the year. It still makes me get my camera out, just to get that once in a lifetime picture as I travel the roads of the Carolinas and Virginia. We are so blessed to have very distinct seasons here in our area. Just like seasons change, we also change. Hopefully for the better! Over three years ago I read a book "Younger Next Year" by Chris Crowley and Henry S. Lodge. It changed my life for the better. Because of the book I started "working out" 5 & 6 days a week. I changed my hair style and my attitude about getting old. This was definitely a seasonal change for me in my mid 60's.
On another note, we are changing the way we do some things at Seven Oaks Doors & Hardware. One positive move is that we are teaming up with an integration company from here in Stanly County. That company is "Secure Canopy". They have an extensive background with video surveillance and data collection.Their expertise along with ours will enhance our abilities to offer our customers "one stop" shopping. We can now replace the doors and hardware, install access control and team up to offer video surveillance and data collections. This is a nice change for us! Stay tuned as we continue to grow with new opportunities.
P.S. "Get the book!"
I Appreciate You! Ed Shimpock, AHC, VP, General Manager

Halloween Safety Tips
|
-
Plan costumes that are bright and reflective. Make sure that shoes fit well and that costumes are short enough to prevent tripping, entanglement or contact with flame. - Consider adding reflective tape or striping to costumes and Trick-or-Treat bags for greater visibility.
- Because masks can limit or block eyesight, consider non-toxic makeup and decorative hats as safer alternatives. Hats should fit properly to prevent them from sliding over eyes.
- When shopping for costumes, wigs and accessories look for and purchase those with a label clearly indicating they are flame resistant.
- If a sword, cane, or stick is a part of your child's costume, make sure it is not sharp or too long. A child may be easily hurt by these accessories if he stumbles or trips.
- Obtain flashlights with fresh batteries for all children and their escorts.
- Teach children how to call 9-1-1 (or their local emergency number) if they have an emergency or become lost.
