Down on the Farm!
|
Many of our customers and friends have some relationship with farming or come from families who have farmed. We thought you would enjoy some pictures of some of our employees who enjoy gardening or raising chickens. I remember as a kid going with my mom to visit her parents who raised cotton. She would help pick while I played on the cotton pile until Grandpa would run me off it. My dad, who was a pastor, always wore dress clothes to visit my Grandpa and Grandma after he showed up at Grandma's house in work clothes one day and was given the job of shoveling cow manure out of stalls. My cousins and I use to chase Grandpa's hogs around the lot when Grandpa wasn't looking. Although I never lived on a farm, I have a lot of respect for those who do.
Seven Oaks Doors and Hardware is located in a very rural county with lots of farming all around us. We all appreciate the farmers and the hard work they do. Next time you meet a farmer, tell him or her "Thanks for what you do!"
I Appreciate You!

Before After
We recently assisted the folks at Dennis Vineyards Winery by replacing four different openings. One pair specifically had seen a lot of wear and tear. We replaced the old wood doors and frame with new hollow metal doors and frame. We made the pair unequal to allow a wider entrance from the active door.
Since our newsletter is on the theme of agriculture, we thought it would be appropriate to tell you about Dennis Vineyards Winery who has made an agriculture impact in our community. Dennis Vineyards Winery is owned and operated by Sandon and Amy Dennis and are located at 24043 Endy Road in Albemarle, N.C.

The Von Duprin Luminescent Touch Pad Exit Device
A new option for the Von Duprin 98/99 series exit devices is the self-illuminating touchpad. This touchpad defines the location of the exit door in dark or smoke-filled areas. The Von Duprin "Safety Glow" (SG) coating is a specially-designed powder coat finish that glows brightly during low or no light conditions. This coating was developed to meet MEA standards where luminescent exit door markings are required in commercial facilities. The self-illuminating touchpad uses no batteries or electronics and is charged when exposed to light. It is available for all 98/99 and 33A/35A devices and is available for retrofit.
In an emergency, where secondary lighting may fail or smoke obscures ceiling-mounted indicators, the Luminescent touchpad provides a clear pathway to safety.
