As I was thinking of what to write this month, I remember many things my father taught me about being thankful. When I was much younger and lived at home with my parents, I never realized when my dad and mom struggled financially. We were a blessed family and I always felt loved through any difficult times they may have been experiencing. They taught me and my two younger sisters to always be thankful for whatever we had. On Thanksgiving Day we were always together and dad always prayed and gave thanks for what God had blessed us with that year. Because he taught me to be thankful, I try to always give thanks to friends and family at every opportunity I can. Now we are approaching another Thanksgiving season and I thank you, our customers and friends. You have blessed Seven Oaks Doors & Hardware for many years. We are not just a company. We are a group of families. We are moms, dads, children and grandchildren, who are thankful that you have chosen to do business with us. Now at Thanksgiving it brings us great joy to say Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!! We are very thankful for all of you!!

After We removed the existing wood jamb and doors and installed a new hollow metal transom frame with a pair of six panel hollow metal doors. The hardware is standard 4-1/2" hinges with Von Duprin surface vertical rod exits with cylinder dogging. We also installed LCN 4111 H Cush closers to stop and hold doors open if needed. |

"The U650 Towel & Waste Combination Unit"
 The U650 is A & J Washroom's standard, all purpose towel and combination unit. Fabricated of #22 gauge stainless steel, the U650 offers a capacity of (600) C-fold or (800) multi-fold towels. It also offers an ADA compliant (12) gallon removable waste receptacle, that extends only four inches from the wall.
Additionally, the U650 can be semi-recessed or surface mounted to suit any type of wall application, and is easily keyed like all other AJW cabinets. AJW offers a full line of waste combination units, with varying waste capacities and towel dispensing methods. For all degrees of restroom traffic, the U650 is a simple, durable, and reliable choice.

Traditional Sweet Potato Casserole
|
 Ingredients:
2-1/2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
¾ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup butter, softened
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup finely chopped pecans, divided
Cooking spray
2 cups miniature marshmallows
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Place the sweet potatoes in a Dutch oven, and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes or until very tender. Drain and cool slightly.
- Place potatoes in a large bowl. Add sugar, butter, salt and vanilla. Mash sweet potato mixture with a potato masher. Fold in ¼ cup pecans. Scrape potato mixture into an even layer in an 11 x 7 inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with remaining ¼ cup pecans; top with marshmallows. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden.

Seven Oaks Doors & Hardware recently displayed a booth at the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce 2012 Business Expo. The 10th annual expo featured 60 booths from local and community organizations. This year's theme was "Look Local First, Buy in Stanly County." We were honored to have our booth judged as "Most Professional".
