Back to School
|
|
A long time ago, my parents prepared for the first day of school by purchasing paper, pencils, and a three ring notebook. That was it, and that was 55 years ago (Telling my age). That was before Calculators, PCs, Macs, notebooks, iPads and iPods, Android and ChromeOS tablets, ebooks and e-readers, digital cameras, backup drives, color printers, smartphones, graphing calculators and all the software applications and Internet services wrapped around those devices. The world is faster, more connected and more complicated than when I was a kid in school (or at least it seems that way). I'm not sure if I could cope as a kid today. It looks like the parents today are handling it pretty well. I have three daughters and they never complain when it comes to making it happen for their kids. I guess it's just an age thing.
For many of our customers, going back to school is a "BIG" thing because they are working for a school system or college. They face major deadlines to have all the classrooms clean, and in order, to start off fresh for the new year. We have many customer friends who take this "Back to School" thing very seriously because they know that what they do is all about the kids. Many of these folks go unnoticed by the parents and children. We work with many schools and colleges in providing security for the perimeters of their buildings to make certain your kids are safe when they go "Back to School." With this note, I would like to thank all the maintenance personnel within the schools and colleges for their unwavering efforts to see that these buildings are clean and "Safe" for the children.
I appreciate you! Ed Shimpock, AHC, VP, General Manager

Recipe for Grilled Corn (The Easy Way)
|
Ingredients:
- Sweet Corn (In Husk)
- Butter
- Salt & Pepper
Directions:
Peel husk back about 2 - 3 layers.
Place on medium/hot coals or gas grill and char the outside of the husk. (The only time you actually want to burn food.)
When corn is charred on all sides, remove from heat.
Peel off husk and silk, brush with butter, salt and pepper to taste or garlic powder to make really delicious.
You can soak it in water, but that's just wasting time.
