What is an ichthyologist?

An ichthyologist is a biologist who studies fish. Although we don't have any of those biologists working here at Seven Oaks Doors & Hardware, we do have several folks who enjoy fishing. With the beautiful weather we have been experiencing for the last month, many minds are moving to the outdoors and fishing seems to be a favorite past time. We are blessed with fishermen here and periodically Virrian Norris shows his "stuff" by impressing us with a "fish fry". Most everyone lines up to eat these delicate morsels he prepares, like no one else can. Robert Parrish is also a fisherman, but he is too serious. He always puts his back in the water so we never get to eat any of his.
On another note, we are always "fishing" for new customers. We continue to throw out the bait and quite often pull in a big one. You can help us by telling your friends about us. We appreciate new customers and will always treat them like one of the family, with great service and great products. Hopefully you have plans to enjoy this beautiful time of year with family and friends. Remember the fisherman's golden rule, "The one that got away is always bigger than the one you gotta weigh!"

We removed the old rusty steel frame and door, and installed a new frame and steel door with continuous hinge, new closer, threshold and weatherstripping. We re-installed the electronic lock and hooked the switch back on the door for the air curtain.

 Our featured customer of the month is Terry Smith. Terry is the general contractor and owner of Terry L. Smith Construction and has been in business for 34 years. He is married to Darla and has 3 children and 5 grandchildren. His hobbies include church, riding motorcycles, restoring old John Deere tractors and going to the beach.

Matt Smith & Bill Lawhon, representatives of the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce along with Ed Shimpock.
Currently the chamber is recruiting new members and the Blues Brothers are leading the way!!! They visited our office to recruit Ed Shimpock to help in this effort. Ed is currently on the Board of Directors for the Chamber.
