What Happened on September 23???

September 23, 2011 at 5:05 A.M. EDT was officially the start of the Fall Equinox. It has been said that this part of the year represents the Summer's last heat and the Fall's first chill. The days and nights are balanced at 12 hours each as the sun crosses the celestial equator.  From this point on, the amount of sunlight seen each day will grow shorter.

Wow! I know this is trivia you really don't need, but the newsletter team told me I had to talk about "Fall".  Now I can tell you how excited I am that our own Sue Loy received the annual award of "Vendor of the Year" at the North Carolina Public School Maintenance Association's "Fall" conference.  Also Robert Parrish, our operations manager, presented a class on Electronic Access Control. He did an outstanding job!

Vendor of the year, Sue Loy, with Ron, Ed, Phillip, and Robert at the North Carolina Public School Maintenance Association Convention

Our growth in the world of Electronic Access Control is remarkable. Our sales and installation teams are making a huge difference within our market areas. We will "Fall" head over heels to have the opportunity to show you how you can have 24 hour control over your entrances. You can know who enters your building at any time. It is also possible to control your doors from your computer, but enough of all that technical stuff. Call or email us for a free presentation of what we can do for you!

Just a reminder, we "Fall" in love with our customers and strive to be the first one you think of when you need doors, hardware, access control and toilet partitions.

I appreciate you!

Ronald Joyce"On behalf of Chatham Charter School, I'd like to give a brief recommendation on "Access Control" by Seven Oaks Doors & Hardware. Before we had Access Control, we always had one door unlocked at the main office areas so parents could come in to sign in/out their children. The problem was that the reception area was not always covered so we had parents going straight to classrooms and if the general public came in, they looked around until they saw someone. Our outer doors were expensive to key and staff members did not have a master. This created a problem of doors being "propped" open during the day and sometimes all night. The keyless system was installed in 2-3 days and has solved the above problems. The on-line system allows me to add who I need to have card access and can be removed immediately if a card is lost or stolen.  I also can control all doors and lock and unlock them as needed, see who has entered and what time. Our school is in total lockdown status during the student day. Parents/visitors buzz in, in order to gain access inside so we know who is coming in at all times. This has been a very good investment for our school."  Ronald Joyce, Chatham Charter School

New Resistall™ Partitions from Scranton Products

Scranton Products introduces Resistall Partitions, a new line of maintenance free privacy partitions that are engineered for value-oriented customers looking to save time and avoid hassles. Resistall Partitions are the perfect replacement for metal in tough environments.   Resistall partitions are as tough as they are affordable and install in less than 30 minutes.  Unlike metal, they are highly resistant to dents, rust, scratches, odor, corrosion, impact and mildew. Resistall saves on costly maintenance, with no need for painting or frequent repair and replacement.

Scranton Products, the nation's leading manufacturer of plastic partitions for more than 25 years, designed Resistall partitions to install easily with a longer lifecycle compared to competitive materials and an unmatched 5-year warranty. The HPDE plastic is impermeable to moisture, which can be a bathroom partition's worst enemy, creating rust, mildew and a breeding ground for bacteria.

Made in the USA, Resistall partitions have gone head to head with metal in the most punishing lab tests-withstanding impacts of up to 500 lbs. from sledge hammers and scratches from razor knives. Resistall came through unmarred, whereas competitive materials took a beating.  The full 5-year warranty covers breakage, corrosion and delamination under normal conditions.
