Lina writes:
I feel honored to share one of the most beautiful days of my life! My husband shared his love for Boothbay Harbor with me about 6 years, ago, shortly after we met. From that week-end on Boothbay Harbor has been a magical place in my heart, it's similar to a feeling that a child would have about being in Disney World! I get so excited, at any opportunity that I have to visit my little piece of "heaven on earth." I loved the harbor from the moment we first arrived, strolling across the footbridge and visiting the quaint shops, that line the streets of the harbor, tastefully with an inviting uniqueness and charm. We visited his favorite establishment's, McSeagull's Restaurant, the Tugboat Inn and of course, the Fisherman's Wharf, so that he would have the opportunity to engage in good conversation and reminisce about days past with the local owners and patrons. After an afternoon of great relaxation and scrumptious appetizers at McSeagull's, such as their double bacon-wrapped scallops and beef teriyaki skewers, we were ready to take a sunset sail on the Eastwind. Our dinner reservation, brought us back to McSeagull's Restaurant for dinner on their outside covered deck, overlooking the harbor. Needless to say, the food and service were both phenomenal and have kept us coming back, throughout the year. Boothbay Harbor is where we were married, 6 years later on "Black Friday," November 23rd, 2012. The carpet was rolled out that week-end, for our family and friends and it was truly one of the most amazing weddings, ever! Ralph Smith of MineOyster/McSeagull's, literally, made this day everything that we wanted it to be and more; as did Crystal at the Tugboat Inn, not to mention Captain Sawyers and the Flagship Inn. It was like a fairytale, where everybody just came together, as one big happy family to celebrate our love! Boothbay Harbor holds cherished memories for us and we look forward to fostering our love for the harbor, throughout our lives -
I appreciate the opportunity to share my view of the Boothbay Harbor Region.
