Greetings,
After receiving 29 inches of snow courtesy of Winter Storm Nemo, people around here are definitely looking forward to spring and the upcoming summer season. In true Maine fashion, people are telling tales and spinning yarns about warmer days, and the size of the fish that was caught or the number of lobsters that were eaten last summer seems to grow with every telling. Share your Unforgettable Experience with us! We want you to share your story and become a Boothbay Harbor Regional Ambassador. - Why did you pick Boothbay Harbor Region for your vacation? Or, if you've never been here before, what makes you want to come and visit?
- If you have been here before, what draws you back each season to visit?
- During your visit was there an unforgettable stay, meal, activity or retail experience that you would like to share with us?
- Starting March 1st the Chamber will launch our new social media campaign and share one Unforgettable Experience every week on our Facebook page.
We also hope you will give us the opportunity to share your Unforgettable Experience in our next e-news that will go out to over 4,000 readers. We want to share our members' stories with our visitors and our visitors' stories with our members! Send your stories and pictures to Brooke Hubner at brooke@boothbayharbor.com *The Chamber reserves the right to edit the story for length, spelling and grammar.
We are definitely thinking Spring around here, and we hope that you are thinking about making plans to visit our region soon!

The Tugboat Inn will be opening for the season on April 12, 2013. They have been busy this winter adding a lot of new guest amenities. Last summer saw the addition of a new guest hot tub, located on the deck in front of the Marina Building. Tugboat Inn has also added small refrigerators to all guestrooms, as well as keurig coffeemakers, irons and ironing boards, new hairdryers and full length mirrors. They are in the process of putting granite vanities in most bathrooms, along with new bathroom shelving and framed bathroom mirrors. And, for all the tv fans out there, there is now a 42" flat screen television in EVERY ROOM!!! Theyhave also upgraded our wireless service, and we have added three Pet Friendly rooms.
Congratulations to McSeagulls for completing the new deck! Following two years of gathering permits, it's here. The new deck will feature between 40 and 50 seats and an outdoor bar. It will wrap around the restaurant's dining room and overlook the harbor. |
