Comprehensive Plan Surveys - We need your input

The Boothbay Harbor Comprehensive Plan Committee has developed a survey to assist in directing its efforts in developing the town comprehensive plan. The survey is generally painless, should take under 15 minutes to complete, and has ample room for additional comments and feedback. It reviews areas such as public services, marine & natural resources, transportation, housing, & general livability. This is your chance to be brutally honest about what works and where improvements should be directed in our town. Responses are confidential  and results will be reviewed by the committee for potential implementation.  Surveys are available in paper form at the town office, town library, Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce Office and the YMCA, or click here for a link on the Town's website.

Their editorial coverage supports a lifestyle that their readers want to experience so they are already in the mindset of that experience. Having an ad in their summer issues would be a key time to promote your business.

We have two options for members to advertise in Maine Magazine:  a "Themed" ad which groups members by shopping, lodging and dining or you can do your own independent ad.  The "Themed" ads are for shopping "A Little Local Color" for lodging "Rooms with a View" for dining "Fresh Local Flare" and so on.  Click here to see an example.  Members have worked together on these themed ads in the past and they have been very successful.  If you choose to do a "Themed" ad then the design costs are included.  If you decide to do your own ad, then you need to supply the ad or we can have it designed for you at an additional cost.  Regardless of which type of ad you do, we will group the ads together to have a "Boothbay Harbor Region" presence in the magazine.  Click here for pricing and a registration form.  Deadline: Friday, Mar. 29th.

"Am Vegan - Will Travel"

Boothbay is mentioned in a new book out by author Dulcimer Nielsen, PhD.  The preview on Amazon lets you see "Boothbay" on the list of illustrations in the table of contents.  When the book is purchased, and the reader clicks on that link in the list of illustrations, it will take you to the page with a photo of Boothbay from the water, and has the caption:  "Boothbay is one of many lovely towns on the Maine coast.  New England is very special - one picture or 1,000 words aren't enough.  You have to go there yourself to understand."
