The Elves are Back!

Tiny Doors It looks like some elves have returned to Virginia Beach and made themselves at home in some of our City parks! Tiny doors have been spotted in trees at Great Neck, Bayville Farms and Red Wing Park. If you and your family stumble upon any of these doors, take a photo and post it to our Facebook page so others can share in the elfin magic!

Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation is a proud landlord of the Tiny Door Project.

Enjoy an Evening of Jazz in the Park
Friday, August 8 | 7 - 10 pm | Mount Trashmore Park

Jazz in the Park

Celebrate the musical flavor of New Orleans right here in Virginia Beach! Come out to Mount Trashmore Park from 7 - 10 pm on Friday, August 8 for Jazz in the Park featuring local musical group, Boardwalk Brass Band.

Driven by the influence of the second line groove straight from the heart of the Big Easy, Boardwalk Brass Band performs song selections from their favorite groups including The Meters, Rebirth Brass Band, Soul Rebels and many more. Their bold brass sounds mixed with the hard driving Caribbean rhythms and an occasional vocal will keep you tapping your feet all night long.

Enjoy Cajun eats by local food trucks The Lucky Peach and The Thirsty Frog. RVA Festivals, Inc. will be on hand to serve up some tasty Cajun treats as well. #VBParksRec
